EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
At Lead in Literacy, we are passionate about supporting K-2 teachers by empowering them with evidence-based literacy instruction. Our mission is to help teachers lead in their school communities by providing professional development, online communities, and engaging literacy resources.
We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to join our fast-growing team. This role offers high growth potential for a motivated individual who values collaboration, embraces growth, and is eager to make an impact.
This role is a part-time position with the ability to work from home. Only applicants in the United States are eligible to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Support: Manage the primary inbox, handle customer inquiries, resolve membership cancellations, and manage failed payments—ensuring we deliver exceptional service and live up to our core value of serving others.
- Project Management: Maintain project plans, create landing pages, schedule emails, and integrate sign-up forms using tools such as ConvertKit, Pabbly, and Kajabi. You’ll work hard and be intentional in managing the backend of the business and keeping everything organized.
- Event & Webinar Support: Assist in preparing webinars, track sign-ups, provide on-the-day support, and help organize virtual team retreats. By embracing growth, you’ll help us serve more teachers and further our mission to improve literacy instruction nationwide.
- Team Coordination: Support team members by maintaining schedules, ensuring deadlines are met, and providing backup during high-pressure periods, demonstrating persistence and reliability.
- SOP Management: Document, create, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that will help streamline operations and ease the burden on other team members—reflecting our commitment to working hard while living well.
- Customer Outreach: Assist in Facebook group moderation, manage communication via the SimpleTexting platform, and conduct outreach to address customer issues.
- Tech-Savvy Tasks: Create landing pages, work with systems like Monday.com and Canva, and upload resources to the TpT store. Your eagerness to learn and embrace new tools will help us remain agile and effective in our work.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience teaching in grades K-2 is required. Experience as an Executive Assistant or in similar roles is a plus.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency with Google Apps, Zoom, and a willingness to learn tools like ConvertKit, Kajabi, Pabbly, and Monday.com.
- Detail-Oriented: Must be highly organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, ensuring everything is done with intention and precision.
- Self-Starter: Confident in working independently after an onboarding period, taking ownership of tasks with minimal supervision, and embodying the value of persistence.
- Team Player: A positive attitude and a collaborative mindset are essential. You should enjoy supporting others and contributing to a team that values hard work and balance.
- Customer Focus: Must be comfortable interacting with customers and resolving issues efficiently to uphold our mission of serving others.
Success Metrics:
- Project completion rates: Ensuring all assigned tasks are completed on time, with accuracy and intention.
- Customer satisfaction: Providing excellent customer service to foster strong relationships and ensure a positive experience.
- Error rates: Delivering precise, error-free work that supports our goal of empowering teachers and maintaining excellence.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay: $25/hour for 20 hours per week.
- Work Hours: Flexible schedule within Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm EST, with occasional nights/weekends required for live events. Required attendance at weekly Team Meetings Mondays 1:30pm EST.
- Holidays: 8 paid holidays per year.
- Vacation & Retirement: After 6 months of employment, 10 vacation days per calendar year. After 1 year of employment, enrollment in the company’s 401k plan.
