Updated 8/23: Mini units added for suffix word endings (-s, -ing, ed), soft c & soft g, ea as in head.
Word study units are different from traditional spelling units. Instead of giving students a list of words to memorize each week, these word study units focus on a specific phonics skill. Students are given explicit instruction on the phonics pattern and then have activities throughout the week that allow them to practice the phonics skill, and investigate and discover the patterns in words.

The materials are tailored to meet the unique needs of students on the spectrum, providing clear, visual instructions and hands-on activities that keep them engaged while also reinforcing important skills.

I have used the 2nd grade ones when I taught 2nd. I am a 1/2 combo this year, so this alligns perfectly with my existing system. I love that it has a letter for parents, cards for my pocket chart, worksheet pages, and an end of the week assessment.
