⭐️⭐️SAVE $$$ – 20% OFF Kindergarten Word Study BUNDLE⭐️⭐️
Word study units are different from traditional spelling units. Instead of giving students a list of words to memorize each week, these word study units focus on a specific phonics skill. Students are given explicit instruction on the phonics pattern and then have activities throughout the week that allow them to practice the phonics skill, and investigate and discover the patterns in words.
Included in this resource:
- A research-based, SoR-aligned Phonics Scope & Sequence
- Master Word List
- Word cards
- 3 Practice Printables for Each Unit
- EDITABLE Printable Templates
- A Family Letter for Each Unit
Note: This resource only includes printables and other items listed above. Want more? Check out my yearlong word study BUNDLE for assessments & more: Kindergarten Word Study BUNDLE

Edited: Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
After some help from the seller, I’ve learned that this set does actually include everything I was hoping it would have! For some reason, when my computer “unzipped” the file I downloaded, it didn’t put all the items into the same file. After Mrs. Winter let me know that there was in fact an editable file included, I did some searching on my computer and found it. Not sure why my computer moved it to some obscure folder, but thought I’d mention it in case any one ever has the same thing happen. (Not her fault – likely a weird computer glitch on my end).
Anyhow, thank you very much Mrs. Winter for letting me know about the editable file, and so quickly! It would have been so easy for you to have just skimmed my comment. So I truly do appreciate you letting me know. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have even thought to look for the file you mentioned in your response.

Hi There!
There is a PDF in the zipped folder called Editable Spelling Lists and cards. If you type the words on the first page it will fill the new words in on “word shapes” page at the top and the letter boxes. If this is not working for you, please email me [email protected] and I can try to help you further!
