My students were so engaged with this activity. It really helped my 2nd graders develop fluency at the beginning of the year. I also love that it exposed them to more nursery rhymes that some students had not heard before. Thanks!

I’ve become prepping this for our upcoming school year and am really excited for the opportunity to use. We are using fairy tales and nursery rhymes as our thematic unit for the year and this is a perfect way to tie in poetry and other skills.

Even though we do not teach nursery rhymes I cross connect them with something I am teaching. I have ELLs and many of them do not know America’s nursery rhymes.
