More About This Resource
This Sound Wall with Mouth Pictures & Sound Wall Locks is a comprehensive, Science of Reading-aligned tool designed to help students master phoneme awareness and phonics. Unlike traditional word walls, this sound wall organizes words by sounds (phonemes) rather than alphabetical order, providing students with a more effective reference when reading and spelling. This resource is great and I love that it comes with multiple options! Only thing I would like to see added to this would be if the charts included pictures of the mouths on them so that my students could take an indivudal chart with them into the gen ed classroom.

Hi Erin,
Thank you so much for your purchase & review! The individual student charts do have mouth pictures. You can find them in the folder labeled “9 Personal Student Word Wall”. There are two options to choose from for the consonant sound wall layout but each option includes mouth pictures on charts 1-4.

Absolutely loved this product. Great visuals for all students to see how the mouth moves. After years of masks, it is helpful for the students that have missed that instruction.

If you are looking for a sound wall this one is great. It has it big enough for your wall but also includes small individual sound walls. I don’t have a lot of space for a sound wall but with this I can display the sound wall when I need it and each child can have one to use at their desk. The perfect use of space!

My students were interested in knowing more about the sounds on the sound wall so I started teaching them each sound using the cards with each one. They are starting to develop their sense of sounds in words.
