This was helpful for my students to see how to hold their mouth when they were learning short vowels. It will be more helpful when our school changes over to SOR next year.

I wanted to add a sound wall after reading so much about making the switch from traditional word walls. Although it takes a long time to print and cut or laminate if you wish, this resources is so helpful during phonics and reading. My ELs and student with speech issues truly need to see how to say a sound, how to form your mouth. Teaching with masks on was so hard but this resource helped my students.

I love the face pictures with their mouths – especially helpful since we have to wear masks in the classroom! I have referred students to it throughout the year as they are learning to edit their own work. However, for me it made more sense not to hide each sound at the beginning of the year. I found it too cumbersome and I used it a lot more when I decided to leave it up as a teaching tool.

This is a great resource. Not the most aesthetically pleasing, but very practical. I only wish there was a bit more diversity in the face pictures. I was excited for the new pictures to be released, but they still aren’t very diverse.

New addition to my classroom. This replaced my word wall. The children are loving it. They love creating words with the sounds.

The “mouth” pictures helped to switch on the lightbulb for many students, especially with the vowels! Fabulous product.

This was my first year to use a sound wall. It did take quite a bit of time to put it all up.
I would recommend putting it up over the summer before the school year starts when you have
plenty of time to figure out where you want all the pieces to go. I used my own spelling cards
from a different company that I already had to go under the mouth pieces and the letters.
I use a laser pointer to point to the cards when we review them.

This was so easy to put together in a coridoor. All teachers in the building have enjoyed stopping to look at it each day as they walk past.
