Word study units are different from traditional spelling units. Instead of giving students a list of words to memorize each week, these word study units focus on a specific phonics skill. Students are given explicit instruction on the phonics pattern and then have activities throughout the week that allow them to practice the phonics skill, and investigate and discover the patterns in words.

Before I purchased the program it looked great. I like that the spelling list are pre-made and the spelling test are printed. Although Im a bit disappointed that each lesson only came with one activity. I was under the impression that there would be activities for the entire week. Also full size printable lists to send home would have been nice as well. I also liked that it is editable but it sends it to a power point to edit and honestly that is time consuming and difficult to do it that way. Overall after the purchase I was disappointed in what I actually got. Your concept is great but I feel your details of what was included was a bit misleading.
