  1. Basic Skills Guru –

Exactly what I needed! Love this resrouce!

  2. Lourdes Lopez –

Great resource for the price. There is a lot of information and videos so I recommend looking through them all before printing so you can pick what you need and use it the way it’s intended. I wish the photos were real instead of clipart but that’s a personal preference.

  3. Dawn K. –

This resource is great for students. It’s very complete. I love the actual photographs. This will be a great help during instruction.

  4. ISS S. –

    Great resource!

  5. Esperanza B. –

I used the digital, individual sound wall and word list in this packet. My school provided the kid lips but everything in this packet I would definitely use at some point.

  6. Simply Secondary- Reading and Writing Support –

I love the face photos and the large size of this sound wall. However, I was very disappointed to see that some spellings of sounds are missing. For example, for long A, there is no eigh spelling, like weigh. There is no ea spelling like steak. Also, I a bit confused about the picture for long A. It’s a boat. I don’t know why. I really like everything else about this wall. However, it is HUGE. You have to commit to at least a 7×6 foot space for the vowels, and a 6×8 space for consonants. That was the SMALL option, when I printed it. I LOVE that it is big enough to see from everywhere in the room.

Hi there, the long a card is sAIlboat.

The graphemes on the sound spelling cards have been carefully chosen to be included after a lot of research. You can read more about the research here if you’d like: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/pdf/10.1207/s15548430jlr3601_5

This article shares Hanna’s study of phoneme-grapheme counts. The purpose of listing spellings is to give students access to the FREQUENTLY used spellings for each sound rather than ALL spellings. Of course, you can add spellings on top of lamination with a Sharpie if a spelling is specific to your curriculum.

I hope that helps you better understand!

  7. Heather H. –

Love this resource! There are so many options to make it work for everyone. I teach EL small groups across multiple grade levels and she gives suggestions for how to the sound wall for my role.

  8. Candace S. –

My students loved this resource. It was very easy to put up in my room as well. Thank you for creating this.

  9. kristen M. –

Absolutely wonderful resource…already up in my room!

  10. Norma N. –

I love how comprehensive this resource is! It looks amazing on the wall once it is put together, and is extremely helpful. Love all the visuals it comes with. Well worth the investment!

  11. 3rd Grade Dreamers –

This is an extremely thorough resource, but even better is the support you get from the seller. If you have any questions, she guides you and assist you through every step.

  12. Ashley Alexander –

This is such a great resource. I am excited to see how my students continue to use the sound wall throughout the year!

  13. Brysann S. –

I love this sound wall! I love the real, diverse pictures to show articulation! My students loved the visuals each week for the sound we were learning.

  14. Melissa B. –

My students liked unlocking sounds each time we learned them. I didn’t practice using it as much as I should have, so students didn’t refer to it when working independently.

  15. Felicity R. –

This is a wonderful resource. It does take up a lot of space, I highly suggest scaling down in size when printing. I appreciate the diversity mouth pictures that were added, but it is still missing a darker complexion that some of my students have. If some additional darker tones would be added, this would be a 5* resource.

  16. Caryn D. –

I was very excited to get this very extensive content for a sound wall. The only thing I have not been able to find in my download is the Google slides which is what I was looking forward to the most. I have no problem accessing the many PDF’s but not sure why I can’t find the Google slides. Thank you!

  17. Lakeesha W. –

    Great resource!

  18. Sharp Pencils Read Apples –

It was so great to have a sound wall with pictures. There are many great resources to use with this!

  19. Jennifer D. –

  20. Little minds learning lab –

Love the real pictures of the sounds and all the additional resources this includes!
