Sequence Writing Prompts – Fall
My students are so successful at writing using these story sequence writing prompts! For this activity, writers use the 4 sequence picture cards to order events, then they can use the transition words and specific story vocabulary words to tell their story. Included with the color pictures writing printable is a “Good Writers” editing checklist reminder at the bottom of the paper. I have also included a basic sight word list to post in your writing center to assist with those tricky words. These prompts naturally differentiate your writing center. Even my most emergent, timid writers shine using them!

Writing during centers has always been a struggle for me but this file made it easy to differentiate to meet the various levels in my class. I particularly found the specific story vocabulary very helpful for my EL students.
