More About This Resource
The science of reading has proven that connecting phonemes (sounds) to graphemes (letters) aids students in the orthographic mapping process. This process allows students to permanently store words into their sight word memories. Using this resource, students will tap the sound they hear in a word and then map the graphemes that create those phoneme sounds.

It is so hard to find engaging worksheets for beginning readers. I love how these sheets allow the student to sound out each phoneme and then go back and read it again to help them spell it. I love this resource!

Fantastic resource! It’s so nice to be able to find extra practice and have extra practice for students without all the work of having to find the right types of worksheets. Great for extra practice and centre work and reinforcing already taught skills.
