Using orthographic mapping strategies, this science of reading-aligned, NO PREP Heart Words and Word Mapping Bundle teaches students to sound out the parts of irregular words that do follow phonics rules. This was such a timely resource to find at the beginning of the school year. It’s amazing how many words are prepared and in alphabetical order so you can just scroll to the word you are looking for or working on. We are using flyleaf instead of ufli in our kindergarten class as we felt like it was a bit more playful for us and wanted something to help introduce our high frequency words (which we still call heart words with the kids) so this really helped with creating centres and teaching and learning the words together. Having SO many words included helps with finding most of the words needed for probably almost whatever sequence you’re following. Thanks for this great resource! The time saved is entirely worth it, too.
